PERFORMANCE PICKLEBALL BUILDS FROM WITHIN WITH STAFF PROMOTIONS
Cassady to Lead PPBROA; Meeks to Head Performance Productions
Richmond, Va. – As their influence continues to grow throughout the sport of pickleball, Performance Pickleball is excited to announce a number of promotions from within their personnel team. MacKenzie Cassady will ascend to General Manager of Performance Pickleball Roanoke. In that role she will oversee all operations for the state-of-the-art facility. Meanwhile, Kam Meeks has been tabbed to head up the newly expanded Performance Productions, a multi-faceted operation that will provide live casting and tournament production across multiple platforms. Meeks will assume the role of President of Performance Productions.
“Pickleball continues to grow at a breakneck pace, and we continue to pride ourselves on nimbly adapting as our brand also grows,” said Performance Pickleball COO Jon Laaser. “Kam’s talents put us in a unique position to expand in the production space, while MacKenzie is the perfect person to lead PPBROA forward into a new era. The energy these promotions have provided to our team is immense and we can’t wait to see the results of them.”
Performance Productions is already operational and currently provides full-scale live stream production for Performance events as well as DUPR Collegiate Super Regionals and the USLPL. Recently, an investment was made in the operation which allows the capability of streaming 12 courts simultaneously. This ability has led to the expansion of operations and the recruitment of additional partnerships.
“When I joined the Performance Pickleball family, one of the first conversations was around creating our own production team,” said Meeks. “Just under two years later we have streamed 25 events, for both Performance and our partners, and we have more lined up for 2026. Excitement doesn’t begin to describe our opportunity to expand this project further. We have only scratched the surface with our production, and I can’t wait to show everyone what we are truly capable of.”
PPBROA is approaching one year of operation and is currently ramping up operations as it continues to be the preeminent facility for both community and competition. Cassady will take over day-to-day operations with transitional assistance from Meeks and Director of Pickleball Tim Cass.
“I’m thrilled to step into the role of General Manager at Performance Pickleball ROA,” said Cassady. “My passion for pickleball and deep love for the Roanoke community fuel my vision to help this facility grow, connect, and thrive as a true home for all players.”
“I was always taught in my career in athletics that you accumulate the greatest amount of talent you can and then put them in the best possible positions to succeed,” Laaser added. “These promotions accomplish that for us on two very important fronts as we look to take PPBROA to the next level and create Performance Productions as a force to be reckoned with. I am thrilled that we have been able to do that with MacKenzie and Kam.”
